Project Overview:

I was commissioned to design a Back Office interface for Samshield. The project was built almost entirely from scratch - the client provided only two rough wireframe pages as a starting point to give an initial direction. From there, I took full ownership of the design, creating a centralized management tool enabling clients and partners to visualize and manage all aspects of their connected application - through a clear, intuitive, and scalable interface fully aligned with the brand's high-end positioning.

The Challenge:

The main challenge with a Back Office is the sheer volume of information and settings it needs to handle. Unlike a consumer-facing product, this type of platform requires displaying dense data, complex configurations, and a wide range of editable parameters - all at once, and all clearly.

The real difficulty was finding the right balance: making the interface clean, elegant, and visually aligned with Samshield's luxury positioning, while ensuring that every piece of information remains easy to read, understand, and interact with. Nothing could feel cluttered or overwhelming, yet nothing could be hidden or oversimplified - users needed full control at all times.

Designing something that feels premium and refined while carrying that much functional complexity was the core challenge of this project.

2

The Research & Discovery

I started by analyzing the required features, user roles, and administrative workflows to define the platform's structure and prioritize key functionalities. This phase helped map the information architecture across the main sections - Home, Resellers, Configurations, and Application management - ensuring clear navigation and efficient access to essential tools.

3

The Design Process

I designed the main pages of the Back Office - Home, Resellers, Configurations, and Application management - building the experience from wireframes through to high-fidelity mockups. I created a complete design system to ensure visual consistency and long-term scalability across the platform.

Special attention was given to data hierarchy, layout clarity, and usability within a professional environment. Interactive elements and micro-interactions were kept intentionally restrained to match the brand's premium aesthetic. The experience was continuously refined through prototyping and iterative improvements to optimize workflows and overall usability.

The Result

The final interface delivers a structured, elegant, and scalable Back Office that fully aligns with Samshield's luxury brand identity.

Information is clearly organized, navigation is intuitive, and the visual hierarchy creates a sense of clarity and confidence - allowing users to manage complex operations efficiently without feeling overwhelmed. The result is a well-balanced system that combines functionality with sophistication, practical and complete, yet visually refined and enjoyable to use.
